The Celestial Beauty of Celeste

This was such a beautiful day: the weather was perfect, location was ideal, even the passers-by were polite! Who could wish for a better day for a photoshoot? As morning was just coming to an end, the temperature was extremely comfortable as the sun gave off just enough natural light for me to show off the celestial beauty of my celeste blue racerback calf length bodycon dress that I miraculously wandered upon at the thrift store for $6. This dress makes a statement of its own and its versatility makes it possible to be worn anywhere. Paired with a blazer, it can be worn to a business meeting or an interview. One could also wear it alone to party or a ceremony. It can even be worn for a classy night on the town or with sneakers for a casual day in the park. The soft blue hue compliments any skintone, especially my golden-medium melanated complexion. The racerback gives a sexy edge to the dress along with the elasticity of the material that allows it to fit any body type. In addition, any hairstyle can compliment this dress, thus changing the style from casual to chic in the blink of an eye.

Want to witness an even bigger miracle? I purchased my nude suede/leather four-inch peep toe pump with ankle strap from the Goodwill at half the price of my dress!! That's right $3 (actually they were $2.98)!!! There was no way that I could leave those there. I didn't even take a second guess. I immediately grabbed this pair of heels and hightailed it to the checkout without looking back.

I think the beauty of this outfit is its simplicity. Other than my white alligator skin clutch that belongs to my darling grandmother "Dear" and my beaded earcuffs that I purchased brand new at a consignment shop for $6, this dress could really stand alone. My nude beaded bracelet that I wore on my right wrist was purchased from the clearance rack at Macy's for $4. Of course, I layered my bracelets on my left arm (my personal statement) and added a pair of tan studs; however they were not needed. I effortlessy pushed my curly twist-out on top of my head and allowed some curls to cascade onto my face. I think this hairdo was most appropriate for the scenery of chic innocence that I was going for.

My photographer made this photoshoot a success as we rounded corner for corner to find the perfect natural lighting to compliment the scenery as well as the subject: ME!

Overall, I think it turned out perfect. Besides, who would think such a "heavenly" look could be accomplished for under $20 ($18.98 to be exact)? Well, it's possible!!

Bask in my celestial beauty: YcraM...because I can!!!
